 WEEK 10

We continued our bible story from last week about baby Moses. Such a great story the kiddos loved seeing that Moses mother was still able to care for him.

Our theme this week was pumpkins/Halloween, We did a lot of experimenting, hands on playing and fine motor skill all about pumpkins and Halloween.

In our sensory table we had corn to play in. They just love going elbow deep in the corn.

We did another fun sensory project. First the kiddos had to color our rice Orange. Second they were able to fill different sized cups with the Orange rice so they looked like Jack-O- Lanterns.

In art
spider hand prints
mosaic pumpkins
painted with pumpkin cookie cutters
paper plate pumpkins

For math the students matched different shapes on a Jack-O-Lantern

We put candy pumpkins in 4 cups that were filled with water, oil, vinegar, milk. We watched as the pumpkins changed over the course of a few days. Some changed color, some dissolved, they shrank, and some did nothing. They really loved checking on them each day.

New this year I made a Halloween Candy Grab tub. this was another great fine motor activity. Please they got to keep the candy.

We opened the pumpkin and discovered the seeds and stings inside. I put the guts in a zip lock so they could mush it around.
